The Classroom Based Assessment is required for fifth grade starting in the school year 2008-2009. The CBA format chosen is "You Decide", where students are expected to make an informed decision on a public issue and complete a persuasive writing piece. The students first work in a group to study an assigned stakeholder and give a presentation to the class. After hearing all the presentations, students are asked to make their own final decision and give supporting reasons for their choice in a written paper.
