Many thanks to Kathy Matthes for introducing me to webquests as part of the EDT612 "Meaningful Learning" class through National University.  I have learned much about the benefits of education via webquests and will begin incorporating them in the music curriculum of our district.  Also a special thanks to Kenneth Doerksen for his expertise in programming html coding.

The are many wonderful organizations willing to share their resources for the music education of children.  I would like to give credit to the following websites which were used to generate this webquest:

Author Biography

April Owens
I am an Orff-Schulwerk music specialist with Chesapeake Public Schools in Chesapeake, Va. I have ten years experience teaching Instrumental music at the elementary and secondary level. I have been an Orff-Schulwerk certified instructor for five years. I love everything about the Orff Schulwerk process and love teaching the younger children. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband Chris and playing flute in my spare time. I am proud member of the The Tidewater Winds, a professional wind band in the Sousa style. I also enjoy learning to cook different regional styles of Mexican cuisine. Mexican food is my absolute favorite comfort food.
