Let's Get Started 


There are seven main steps toward making a successful interview.  Please read the following seven steps carefully, and make sure you complete each one.  Some of the steps have links that you must click on in order to receive the information needed; be sure to click on each of them!

1. Learn what it takes to create an Interview. 

2. Each member of the group needs to select the job that he/she will be responsible for carrying out during this assignment. These johs are:

3. You will need to ask at least ten of the questions during your live interview. Here are some examples to get you started:

  • Where were you born?  Did you live there your whole life? If not, where did you grow up? Are you married?  Do you have children? 
  • What historical period of music did you represent? 
  • Do you have any brothers or sisters?  Where did you obtain your musical training and by whome? What instruments do you play? How did your career get started? Do you have any hobbies? What is your favorite food?  Do you have any nicknames? Did you win any special awards? Did any other musician inspire you?  What advice would you give to a musician and composer today?

4. Research your composer.
