This Webquest gives learners the chance to consolidate learning from QCA unit 4F - Circuits and conductors in a fun task by designing a burglar alarm system to protect the Crown Jewels!!
Teacher Introduction
This Webquest has been designed to consolidate skills and knowledge from the QCA Unit 4F - Circuits and Conductors. It ideally should be placed at the end of a topic as the skills needed for various tasks would need to be taught first.
It has been aimed at the more able, allowing the children to work as a team . The activities and tasks are very much pupil lead but with teacher input this Webquest can comfortably be modified to suit the needs of all learners.
The teachers role in the Webquest is mainly to monitor and ensure that the children stay on task and be there to assist and guide should there be any difficulties.
Ideally the quest can be completed within 1 hour to 90 minutes, but as it has been designed to be flexible it can easily be modified and adapted to suit teacher need which is why timings for the activities have been omitted.
