Standards

First Grade Social Studies Learning Targets: 

The first graders will be able to explain the characteristics of varied landforms (mountains, hills, valleys, oceans, lakes, and rivers).

The first graders will be able to apply the concept of "windows and mirrors" (compare and contrast multiple perspectives) in a situation or event. 

My goal is for the students to be able to answer my essential question:  How do landforms affect the people, plants, and animals in a particular region?
