Quest 1: Search the following websites to learn about the everyday life of villagers in the Middle Ages. Use the information to create a new identity and write a one to two page autobiographical sketch with a minimum of three fully developed paragraphs. BE CREATIVE! Include your new name, birth place, age, birth order, family members, occupation (skill or craft), favorite hobbies, aspirations, and a short description of your kingdom.
Quest 2: Once you arrive in the Middle Ages, identify available food and drink, create a detailed, decorative 5-course menu (drink, starter, main course, side, and dessert) for the King's feast. Search the following websites and start by making a list of 20 different foods/drinks that you would expect to find during the time period.
Quest 3: In order to win the favor of the King and Queen, you must flatter them with an original ballad. The topic should be pleasing to the court. Some suggestions for an appropriate subject would be a valiant knight, a victory in battle, a royal wedding, a great feast, or one in honor of the King and Queen.
