Process
Mathematician - Your job is to make sure that you understand your concept and can teach it to others so as to be clearly understood. You will work closely with the others in your group to make sure that they understand the concept as well as you do. You will want to practice teaching them to add/subtract/multiply/divide/find LCD and have them in turn explain to you each of the steps they took to simplify the expression.
The following is far from a comprehensive list of websites available to help you teach your students the concepts behind the operations on fractions. I will need to see a complete list of the resources you used to help you create your lesson.

Author- Your job is to write the text of your book. Remember, you will be using your book to teach either a 3rd grade class, a 4th grade class, or a class of 5th graders...keep it simple. I have quite a few children's books on hand for you to view and from which you can get ideas on how to write your book. Remember, your audience is children and as such, you do not want to use mathematical terms that they will not understand. You want children to want to read your book - maybe even more than once. You want your book to appeal to children and to also teach them. Keep this in mind at all times.
As with the websites given to the Mathematician, the following is far from a comprehensive list of websites available to help you write your children's book. I will need to see a complete list of the resources you used to help you write your book.

Illustrator- Your job is to create the pictures that will help the children understand what the author has written. Remember, you will be using your pictures to teach either a 3rd grade class, a 4th grade class, or a class of 5th graders...keep it interesting. I have quite a few children's books on hand for you to view and from which you can get ideas on how to add visual to enhance the text. Remember, your audience is children and as such, you do not want to overwhelm them with your art...you want to enhance their learning. You want children to want to not only read the book - you want them to be drawn into your pictures. You want your book to appeal to children and to also teach them. Keep this in mind at all times.
As with the websites given to the Mathematician and Author, the following is far from a comprehensive list of websites available to help you illustrate your children's book. I will need to see a complete list of the resources you used to help you illustrate your book.
