"Thank you!" to Connected University Guide Barb Thorson for affording me the opportunity to TA in the WebQuest course. It's by teaching that we're obligated to prepare ourselves in advance to learn that which we'll be teaching others.

Author Biography

Charlie Pitrolo
Charlie has worked in the public schools system since 1980. He has a Master's degree in Education Administration from West Virginia University, a specialization in Educational Technology Leadership, and is currently pursuing a certificate in English as a Second Language. He's served as a middle school teacher for 23 years, middle school principal for three, and as district level Technology Integration Coordinator, ESL Director, and Director of Early Childhood Services.

Charlie has attended Fairmont State University, West Virginia University, Marshall University, Salem International University, and Alderson Broaddus College. He has completed coursework at Adams State College and Old Dominion University. Adjunct work has been provided for West Virginia University, Salem International University, Glenville State College, and Marshall University. He has provided online instruction for Connected University (a division of Harcourt) and Marshall University.

He has worked with the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation, Marion County Schools, and the West Virginia State Department of Education as Teacher Trainer, Master Trainer in conjunction with CSOs (Content Standards and Objectives/ Understanding by Design), Intel's "Teaching Thinking With Technology", and Verizon's "Thinkfinity", concentrating his efforts on Internet skills and technology integration into the curriculum. He continually seeks opportunities to improve his skills and knowledge through coursework, self-study, and collaboration with other specialists.
