Students will be retaught improper fractions, and will practice for clarification until completely understood. Groups of three will then create a real-life situation to demonstrate how improper fractions are used.

Are you like me and have certain concepts that just seem so abstract for students to fully grasp? That is how this webquest came about. The concept of fractions is taught early, but in fifth grade we need to understand improper fractions and why we recognize and use them. This is designed for students to truly understand the idea of improper fractions and how they actually appear in the real world.
