Learners
The intended learners for this class are 9-10th grade High School Math students who have had basic high school math, and a early introduction to algebra.
The intent is to take what is learned in the classroom and 'adapt' to a real life situation - planning to purchase, and then afford their first car upon getting their drivers licenses. There is no right or wrong answer to this assignment, but rather an exercise in critical thinking - An opportunity for the students to take their basic understanding of math, take into consideration many variable factors, and come up with a planned budget on purchasing and maintaining a new car.
