Aufgabe

Through the websites, you will be creating journals for a West German teen, and an East German teen.  The facts you use to write the journals must be true, though you may suspend reality - you'll be reading through nearly 50 years of history, so to have this journal from a teen perspective, the reality of being a teen the whole time must be imagined.  Within these journals, you must have at least 5 entries per teen, one for each decade.  Your journals may be typed in a Word document, or written in a notebook style, with images and notes from outside sources. In order to enable you to better express what you have learned, the journals will be completed in English.  You will work in groups of 4:  one person will focus on the good of Eastern life, one on the bad of Eastern life, one on the good of Western life, and one on the bad of Western life.  Through reading the histories, and writing the journals, you will learn about both sides of the Wall, and prepare to discuss your findings with other groups.
