In this WebQuest, you will investigate the lives of people in Eastern and Western Germany after World War II and before the reunification in 1990. By exploring the pros and cons of their lives, you will come to a conclusion on which group had better lives, and present an argument for your decision to the class.

Being a German teacher, I strive to introduce more culture to my students. While this lesson could be completed in a history class, the use of German language makes it idea for upper-level German students. Wanting students to have a sense of the importance of the Fall of the Wall and Reunification of Germany, I decided to create a project where students would see how different the two sides were.
