This WebQuest is to educate children in fourth and fifth grades about the health concerns associated with tobacco use. The goal of this education is to ensure that children are well informed about the health risks so they may make an informed choice when confronted with the question of whether or not to use tobacco products.

Introduction

Have you ever wondered:

     * Why some people smoke cigarettes?

     * What is in a cigarette?

     * What does smoking cigarettes do to your body?

     * What would you say if someone offered you a    

         cigarette?

When you are done with this WebQuest you will have a good understanding about the harmful substances in cigarettes. You will also be able to describe some diseases that are caused by using tobacco products. Finally, you will be able to make your own choice about whether or not you want to use tobacco.
