Each group of people who arrived in America endured difficult times. Even children had a tough lives. Their lives were affected... education, work, play, etc. We will explore the lives of the Dutch colonists and African-Americans in Colonial New Netherlands and its capital, New Amsterdam.

Introduction

As you go through this webquest, you will be a researcher.  Your job will be to find out about two groups of children--African-Americans and Dutch-- in the colony of New Netherlands, and the capital, New Amsterdam.  Enjoy the opportunity to look at the lives of other people who lived in New York many years before you did!  How different or how similiar were their lives to yours today?
