Created a diary with 3 entries-either in the voice of an enslaved African child or as a Dutch.  Diary  demonstrates a clear understanding of Colonial New York. 

Entries are overly general or re-stated information directly from websites.  Inaccuracies are included in diary entries. Entries are relevant and accurate, but lack details and depth. Entries reflect thorough understanding and research and include relevant information.  The piece is written in authentic diary format and style. Entries reflect careful thought that demonstrates an understanding of chores, religion, culture, education, etc.  The language of the diary  entries imitates verbiage of the period.  Names, places, spelling, etc. are attempts at authenticity. 

Presentation of Diary

Diary entries are unorganized and difficult to read.  No attempts are made to make diary look "authentic."  The diary itself is not assembled as a book. Diary entries are somewhat organized.  Minimal attempts are made to make diary look authentic.
