Oversized Creations wants you to help share interesting facts about some tall tale heroes by designing a trading card for the Tall Tale Team.
American tall tales are full of exaggerations, big problems, and some pretty funny solutions. The heroes are usually larger than life, and are so entertaining that you can't wait to share them with someone else! You've probably all shared trading cards of your favorite sports stars or animated characters, but did you know trading cards have been around for about 150 years? Now you get to make your own!
Your teacher will place you in groups of four, and each person on your creative te
am needs to choose one of these important jobs:
Tall Traveler - You will follow the journey of the tall tale legends and record interesting facts you discover along the way.
Stretch Detector - You will watch for exaggerations in the story. Remember, tall tales always s-t-r-e-t-c-h the truth, so record all those bigger than life details.
Humor Hunter - You will be ready to catch all the funny details in the tall tales.
Memory Mapper - You will record how the character looks and acts, and special things he may say.
