This African American Literature class is an elective in which all grade levels can participate (9-12). The class is a fairly small group of students, only fourteen, and the majority of them are African American. We have read several works of the Harlem Renaissance, including poetry, short stories, folktales, and music lyrics. We have watched videos in class, and listened to audio of jazz musicians and vocalists during this time. This Web Quest would serve as an enrichment or review activity for these students, as they will be using prior and new knowledge to create their projects.
