Teacher Process

As I have yet to implement this lesson, I really can't say how to pull it off.  I have a vision in my head that this webquest will work best for a trigonometry class and will take several class periods, including a field trip to a pedestrian bridge. During this field trip, it is essential to explain all the components of a bridge as well as take all necessary measurements. 

The teacher should have blank chart templates to distribute to the students so that they know they are capturing all the pertinent data.  

Furthermore, I don't think it is critical that these bridge redesigns are perfect. The process is important. As well, another skill that this webquest is trying to address is the ability for the students to effectively communicate to an audience.  Math class should not always be about pulling off algorithm after algorithm perfectly.  This project is to show how math is applied in real-world situations.
