Teacher Introduction

The goal of this webquest is to allow students to explore measures of volume. They will be able to identify different measures of volume, develop the ablity to recognize different measures of volume in real world situations, compare different measures of volume in relation to one another, and create organizational tools that demonstrate understanding of these ideas.

The students task will first be to identify different measures of volume.  Once the students have identified the different measures, they will then identify the types of tools they would use to measure volume in their home or at school. Then, the students will work in small groups to create a visual that they will use to show others how the different measures of volume compare to each other. Finally, the whole class will be creating a book that will help them to explain the types of things that can be measured using the different measures of volume that they have learned about.
