Teacher Process
This Web Quest is designed to be a 6-7 day long event. You do not want to spend too much time on it being that it already took about a month or longer depending on the language learners to read. Prolonging the unit can cause disinterest and burn out.
Day one: Introduce the project and spend some time reviewing places and people of the book.
Day two: Divide the class into groups of 5 and spend time going over the job descriptions with in each group. Allow the groups to assign each job. Remind the group each role is crucial to their overall grade.
Day three: Give each group their location and allow them to begin researching. Give groups materials to make their brochure
Day four: Research and create brochure
Day five: Complete brochure by end of this period. The teacher will assign a day that the group will present their location. The groups are informed of this day by the end of the period.
Day six-Day seven: Depending on group size the presentation portion may take 1-2 periods.
