This WebQuest is recommended for college-level students of any major who are learning to utilize image creation and manipulation tools, such as Adobe Photoshop or GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Software). The topics of journalism, parody, and ethical boundaries will support the framework of the WebQuest.
As an alternative, students who are not learning image manipulation software can follow the same tasks and processes, substituting collage for digital imagery.
Due to the recommended resources, this project is targeted for young adults. The project has great potential for grades 9-12. As with any project, the instructor should review the resources to ensure they are appropriate within the environment.
