Teacher Process
This WebQuest is designed to help ELLs use both interpersonal and academic language in an environment with low stress. As such, having a good rapport with students is essential for the successful completion of this project.
A reasonable time table for me seems to be to allow one to two weeks, or between two and three (fourty minute) class periods for each part of the process. Depending on the level of computer literacy of your students, you may want to include instruction as to how to search the database at This I Believe. Another alternative is to preselect a handful of essays that have a low linguistic load.
