Students will navigate through four tasks in cooperative groups, and will learn about and explore the life of those involved with the Underground Railroad. The four tasks categories are: 1) Conductor - research escape routes; 2) Slave - research hidden codes for escape; 3) Slave Owner/Abolitionist - explore slave songs from perspective of abolitionist and slave owner; 4) News Reporter - research the life of Harriet Tubman.
