Conclusion

After visiting two LEED rated buildings in our city and completing an energy audit on our school we were more prepared to make changes to our building to help save energy and become more sustainable. 

We learned that we could become more sustainable by:

• Turning off classroom lights when we leave the room
• Limiting the number of pieces of paper that students use for drawing
• Reducing run-off by making bioswales out of planter boxes
  
• Informing the public about the importance of sustainability
