Task
Here is an opportunity to explore different living creatures as they exist in a system and how their environment is changed by the growth of mankind's population, science and technology.
Collect information:
You will explore sources of energy used by mankind to grow our food, create our material goods, warm and cool our homes, provide medical care, dispose of garbage and waste; in short, all of the activities that affect the environment on the Earth upon which we live.
After you decide which solutions to problems in ecology you want to study, the present day sources of energy used to drive our civilization and possible future sources of energy that can be converted or developed as sources of energy, you will present them to the class.
Present your findings to the class:
You will choose your method of presenting what you have discovered.
You may use two of the following options or create two of your own.
- Poster
- Power Point Presentation
- Written letter or report
- Publisher folders
- Inspiration software web with hyperlinks to pictures and Word file.
A rubric for teacher evaluation of your project is part of the task. Remember that your presentation must also have pictures and explanations of what the pictures represent.
