 Part I.

Look up the definitions of the word Journal and Diary

Copy these definitions on your NOTE  page which you will open and print out before you begin your research.

Look at these journal entries to get an idea on how to write a page in a diary.

Lewis and Clark diary.

Oregon Trail diary.

Martha Ballard Diary.

Native American Diary.

Pioneer Diary

On your note page write down some similarities you find in each of the diaries above. Also write down any differences you find. Put these on the note page, under similarities and differences in diaries. As you are filling in the paper keep in mind you will again fill in a Venn diagram to compare your life to that of a Native American.

Print 2 copies out of  this Venn Diagram so you can fill it in as you see the similarites and differences as you read each diary. The 2nd copy will be for comparing your day to that of a Native American child.

Your journal entry should be one page long and include accurate information about the following details:

Part VI:

The final step is to create a Power Point with the other members of your group.  There will be 4 of you in these groups.  You each will have a part to play in the making of the power point.  Give each member of your group a part of the Native America child's life, Example would be, one person make a slide of what the child ate, or where did this child live, or what did this child do for fun.  Each person in your group will be responsible to make one slide.  Then your group will present your Power Point to the class.  If you want to add more slides you may.
