This WebQuest is written for third graders to explore the meaning of citizenship including the rights and responsibilities of being a citizen. The students create symbols for their classroom and a brochure to introduce a new student to becoming a citizen in their class.

Teacher Introduction

This WebQuest is to introduce students to the basic principles of citizenship of the United States.  The students then create their own definition of citizenship for their classroom including class symbols.  The project results in a brochure your students will give to new students to introduce them to their classroom.
