Receive a note-taking worksheet from your teacher. This is listed under process 2.

Assign roles within your group.  You should have one of each of the following:

HISTORIAN:  this person will gather information about the history and the culture of the park.People like to know how National Parks came to be!  Your job is to learn about the history of the park.  What people lived there before, how it got its name, and anything else of interest.

GEOLOGIST:  this person will gather information about the rocks in the park and how they were formed.

BIOLOGIST: this person will gather information about the plants and animals in the park.

TOURIST:  this person will present fun hikes to take in the park. Also check out other activities the National Park offers.  Think like a tourist!  If you were going on a family vacation what would you want to see and do?

You and your partner will take notes and summarize (tell in your own words) what you learned.
