To complete this quest, students will need an introduction of doing web-based reasearch and writing. Students will need prerequisite knowledge of writing internal citations.
Not only will students be researching on the computers, but they will also need time to compose their individual essays and the group PowerPoint presentation.
Additionally, supplies, materials, and space may be needed for the 3-D model portion of the assignment, depending on how much class time you decide to give for this element.
Please note that although allowing students to create thier groups has its advantages, we recommend that the teacher organizes the groups as to "level the playing field." Several aspects to this quest exist; some students will strive at, say, writing, for example, while others will strive in the 3-D model or presentation. It is best to divide groups so that all the writers do not end up together or all the presenters and so on.
