This WebQuest was designed for middle school students studying the Revolutionary War.

Introduction

 

Most Americans were content with British rule in the 1700’s.  However, after the French and Indian War, England was left with a huge debt and a vast amount of land to protect.  England placed new laws and new taxes on the colonists.  Americans were stunned.  They had always had the right to make their own laws and taxes.  Suddenly, Britain was changing the rules.  It wasn’t right, the colonists protested.  It wasn’t fair!
