Teacher Process
This webquest is designed to last 7 days.
Day 1 the students will separate into groups of 5 and read the main article which introduces the graphic warning labels.
Days 2-5 the students will be conducting research online. Since they are each researching different aspects of the topic, they will each need their own computer. The photographer will need to make 3 transparencies and researcher 1 will need a piece of butcher paper as tall as they are with markers. If transparencies and an overhead projector are not available, another projection medium will suffice, or they can just paste each picture onto a piece of contruction paper and tape it to the wall by the researcher's head during the newscast.
Day 6 the students will be holding their newsroom staff meeting. They will need an area with a table so they can take notes and with room to rehearse their newscast.
Day 7 the students will be presenting their newscast. They will need an overhead projector and space to project their pictures on the wall next to the reporter's head, just like in real newscasts.
