Students will learn about substances and mixtures and will classify various materials accordingly. Students will also create a plan to seperate a mixture mishap of a major packaging company to increase profit. Students will present their experiment and plan to the company CEO for approval.

Introduction

 

There has been a machine error at Karcher Packaging Inc. and all four of the companies products have been packaged into the same containers! You are working for Karcher Packaging Inc. and have been given the chance to propose a method of separation of the mixture to the CEO to increase the company's profit and get back the original products. The company has even included an incentive of a pay raise and promotion to the employee with the best proposal. Will you be able to use your scientific thinking ability and power of persuassian to persuade the CEO to use your plan? Make sure to research substances and mixtures and use the appropriate vocabulary to make your proposal convincing!
