This WebQuest involves students in learning about sound, including wave properties and the traveling of waves through a barrier. Students use decibel meters to find the best sound barrier for their bedroom.
Introduction
You have probably heard your family complain about how loud the music is coming from your bedroom. You want to continue to listen to your music at an almost deafening level. You decide to use materials around your house to create the ultimate sound barrier, keeping you and your family happy. You will be learning about sound travel and experimenting with household materials to find the ultimate sound barrier for your room.
