Process
First
Your group will consist of 4 students from your class. You will each choose one area to research and investigate. I am providing you with the following websites that will be a great sources for research and are filled with information suitable to this subject. There are lots of sites that contain quality information, so don't stop with these. Don't forget to write down your sources when you are conducting your research.
The areas to be researched will be:
- Construction Methods
- materials that are sustainable, renewable, environmentally friendly.
- Appliances
- choosing appliances that are energy efficient

Finishes
- floors, paints, lighting, windows
- Energy sources
- solar, wind, etc.
Second
Your group will collaborate the information you have discovered. You will come together to share and analyze your research. By this point you should already have a presentation method in mind. You will begin to piece together the presentation of your project.
Third
The following are required for the type of project you choose.
Power Point project:
- drawings with details
- comparisons between eco- friendly vs. typically used materials
- resources used
- text & pictures
- presentation should flow(not too flashy)

Detailed drawings on poster board
- 3 - Detailed drawings fully labeled
- 2 pages stating why you chose the materials you did, making reference to what you learned in your research. Resouces must be listed.

Model
- Model must resemble a house.
- consist of details of materials used
- 1 written page describing why you chose the materials you did.
