This completed webquest will provide students with an understanding of the individuals that were affected by the Holocaust. The finished products should be displayed in an on site Holocaust Memorium. This lesson was designed for 5th graders but could easily be used with 4th graders.
Introduction
The Holocaust was a horible event that should never of happened, but it did. You probably know a little bit about it or have heard about it. The Holocaust was the killing of millions of European Jews by the Nazis during World War II. The extermination happened specifically during the years 1939-1945. The Holocaust and WWII were huge events that we are not going to focus on so much during this webquest. Moreover, we are going to meet indviduals-victims of the Holocaust in this webquest. You are going to put a face to a victim's name and understand through them why the Holocaust was one of the greatest crimes ever commited.
