Task

        You have some friends who are moving to Washington State.  They don’t know which region of the state to move to and have asked you to help them decide.  Your group will be taking a trip through different regions to find out more about each one so you can make a good recommendation about where to live.  Each region in the state is special, with unique features. As you travel, you will need to find information to compare the regions based on their features.  (Your trip will be on the information highway of the World Wide Web!)

 

                                    
 

    Each member of your group will have a travel journal to keep notes in.  After your trip, your group will work together to decide which region you like best, and create a presentation to share your recommendation. You will also create a map of the state and write a paragraph explaining your choice. There will be a guide (your teacher!) to help you with all parts of your journey and task.
