Teacher Process
The following describes the process in which students will complete this assignment. These should be completed in order and this Web Quest is intended to map out the directions accordingly:
© Students will access http://www.starfall.com/n/level-b/poetry/load.htm?f and choose a poem to read. Students will click on the arrow key to move to each screen to continue.
© They may click on the “ear” icon to have the poem read to them or they may choose to read it themselves.
© At the end of the poem, they will click on the printer icon and print out a question that is posed at the end of the poem.
© Students will write two sentences on the printed paper according to the question posed (relates to the poem).
© Students will draw a picture about what they wrote or about the poem.
© Students will get a copy of the poem they read (provided in class) and practice reading to a partner.
© Students will present their poem, sentences, and picture to the group.
** Note: A preview of this assignment should be shown to the class with the initial instructions by accessing the WebQuest online and showing through a projector on a screen. The teacher can demonstrate the activity by following the steps according to the instructions. If a teacher does not have access to the Internet and a projector to show on a screen, a PowerPoint presentation could be created to demonstrate the steps.
