Divide the class into groups

Group one will be volcanologist studying Mt. St. Helens

Group two can be a group of residents living near Mt. St. Helens

Group three can be Park Rangers working in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest

Group four can be hikers/campers exploring the park

Use a journal to create your experiences. Use details and factual information to tell your stories. Remember the more facts you can include the more interesting your experience will be.

Each group will share their account of what happened before, during and after the eruption of Mt. St. Helen's. Visual documentation as well as detailed journals will help you present your story the way it happened through your eyes.
