Teacher Process

This web quest was designed for those students in middle school who need to begin thinking about career choices and interests for the future.  This offers students many resources they can utilize to find out more information about their own interests and careers they may wish to pursue. It will help them begin concentrating on classes in high school that can help them achieve their overall goals.  This webquest lasts approximately an hour.  It can be completed by each individual student.  When the entire class has completed the webquest, students can share their comments and interests with the class.  Students can be graded on their report using the rubric provided.  Students may also wish to gather more information about their career interests that can possibly be used as extra credit.

Students may work in cooperative learning groups or individually, depending on the plans of the teacher. Differentiated instruction will take place as students decide whether to share their information via an essay, PowerPoint presentation or orally. As students complete the web quest, they will learn more about a career they may be interested in and will begin thinking about their future.
