This WebQuest leaves so much room for interpretation. Depending on the level of student understanding it may be important to review features of the WebQuest with the students such as Purpose, Audience, and especially Bias. Also, it is important to be active in working with each group and being very present while your students analyze the websites. Also, keep in mind what grade level you are teaching because this project can vary greatly.
It may be good to create your own website with articles to show your students. If you do not create an entire one at least be familiar with geocities or other website building sources.
****Make sure to arrange time to go to your computer lab or media center!!!!!****
TIMELINE
The Work Page should be completed in one day, because the next day the news will change. Groups should be able to write their articles at home but do allow some time in class for this. The longest part of the assignment is the creation of the web pages. Ideally, it would be nice to spend a whole week in the computer lab or media center, but it can be done well in 3 days with planning. Talk to your media specialist.
LASTLY
I will not be offended if you do not use the worksheets I have provided. They can be a guide. Again, this WebQuest offers a lot of room for creativity.
