Teacher Introduction
. . . She
had not understood mathematics until he had explained to
her that it was the symbolic language of relationships. "And
relationships," he had told her, "contain the essential meaning of
life."
-- Pearl S. Buck
Many students struggle to find math interesting or fun. In this lesson, students will learn about how math relates to the arts and they will create a lesson that uses art to teach geometry!
This lesson is written to address Geometry standard 22.0, but can be adjusted for many other content standards.
Students will not only learn about math and art, but also about learning styles, internet research, purposeful communication and effective presentations.
