Day 1: 

Exploring websites about the author

 

 Student does not visit all of the websites listed or stay on task. Student plays on the internet or interrupts other students. Also writes down less than 10 facts about the author.

    Student     visits all or most of the websites, but she/he does not take the time to read or evaluate the actual information. Studet does not find at least 15 facts about the author, but finds at least 10.

Student  visits all of the websites listed and reads through most of the information. Student finds and writes down 15 interesting facts about the author.

 Studet visits all of the websites and takes the time to fully understand the material presented. Student also finds more than 15 facts.

 

Day 1:

Class discussion about the author 

 

 Student is disruptive or does not participate in the discussion. Student does not really participate fully in the discussion but pays attention and is not disruptive. Student contributes to the discussion and is paying attention to what others have to say.  Student contributes to the discussion on more than one occassion. Student also asks questions and responds to others.

 

Day 2:

 Student does not visit all of the websites listed or stay on task. Student plays on the internet or interrupts other students.

Student     visits all or most of the websites, but she/he does not take the time to read or evaluate the actual information. Student merely browses.

 Student  visits all of the websites listed and reads through most of the informaion. Student takes some notes on the information presented. Studet visits all of the websites and takes the time to fully understand the material on each webpage. Student also takes plenty of notes to participate in the discussion.

 

Day 2:
