ELA5W3 The student uses research and technology to support writing.
The students will learn about the important figures during the roaring twenties. The students will understand the contributions these figures made to society.
Since the students are browsing and sharing their final written work with their small group, collaboration is encouraged. Part of the evaluation will be teamwork; therefore, the students will need to work together effectively. Creativity is urged as the students are creating their written column for the newspaper. The students are encouraged to be unique in their written responses. The students will also make inferences about their chosen character as they research and create their columns. Organizational skills also will be needed as the students turn their summaries into their written task.
