Process

Put the stuidents into  six research groups.

Each group is given an invetion that they need to research.

3.Philo T Farnsworth and the invention of the television

4. Wilbur and Orville Wright and the airplane

5. Eli Whitney and the invention of the cotton gin

After group completes research the next process is to develop a presentation to share their information with the rest of the class groups.

The requirements are:

Each member of the group needs to participate in the presentation.

At least two visuals need to be used to help explain the invention and what it is.

The presetation must be limeted to no more tha ten minutes but at least five minutes.

All the information that was available in the research must be shared.

Two minutes for Qustions will be allowed.

During the presentation the class is filling out research sheets for each inventor.

Students in their research group rank the inventions according to their importance to the American people. These rankings will needto be defended in a class discussion directedby the teacher.
