Process

Day One

1.  You will be assigned to a team of four friends.

2.  You and your team will complete the KWL to learn important basic information about energy and to become energy experts.  You need to:
 

        Copy the KWL from the board

        Split your team into partners called Pair A and Pair B.  Each pair will explore/study half of the general information resources.  All team members will try to find as many of the answers to the KWL as they can.  Many answers can be found on more than one site.

        Share what you found on your KWL with other teams as needed.

Day 2

1.  Each team member will choose one source of energy from the KWL to study in depth. 

2.  To research in depth look for information regarding the technology needed to use your alternative resource; what costs are involved in using your alternative resource; what obstacles and assistance programs may exist for implementing your alternative resource; and any advantages or disadvantages to using your resource.

 

Day 3

1.  Once you have completed the Study Guide, you will need to meet with your team to  compare the information you gathered and decide which source of energy your team will recommend to the Governor.

2. Determine what type of presentation you will make to the Governor, and what technology you will need to use to create your presentation.

3.  Create a story board to plan your final presentation.

Day 4 & 5

1. Complete your presentation preparation.

 

Day 6

1. Present your ideas to the class!
