Teacher Process
Step 1:
- Takes place at home. Students will receive the information they need in class so they can conduct their research at home.
Step 2:
- Takes place at home and in your classroom. Students will begin writing their persuasive essay at home. They will bring in a draft of their paper to class so they can work in peer response groups on possible revisions for their writing.
Step 3:
- Takes
place in your classroom. You will use the rubric to evaluate the
students presentations. Remind the students that they should have
a sheet of paper in front of them, and they should be taking notes on
their classmates presentations. They should make sure to take
note of the effective strategies that their classmates use in their
writing, and any evidence they find to be effective in persuading their
audience.
