The purpose of this WebQuest is to familiarize students with the ancient civilizations of Peru, the Incan Trail and Machu Picchu. This is an archeological perspective as well as a historical look at one of the most exciting finds of an ancient civilization.

Teacher Introduction

This WebQuest is designed for students to see themselves as explorers.  You don't have to travel to far away lands to explore, thanks to the internet.  It is my hope that if students can see themselves as explorers, it will motivate them creatively.  This assignment could be adapted to suit many social studies and science topics.
