In Conclusion 

The Great Migration of African Americans from the southern states of our country to the North began in 1916.  You examined primary documents and discovered the many factors that contributed to this migration. Factors such as segregation and violence,  the desire for better wages and educational opportunities, the belief that living and working conditions would be an improvement in the North.
