Process
For this project you will be required to work in groups. You will be responsible for creating a movie presentation in MovieMaker on one type of technology. You will need access to the following items:
- A computer with Microsoft MovieMaker.
- Headsets so you can access the audio formats.
- Paper and pens/pencils to sketch a storyboard of the presentation.
- Copy of the rubric that will be used to evaluate you during your presentation.
Step 1: In our computer lab, you will have one class period to read the rubric and ask any questions pertaining to researching your assignment.
Step 2: In one class session you will be given time to meet your group's partners and decide who the project manager will be. You will be given paper/pencils to sketch a storyboard of the presentation.
Step 3: In the computer lab, you will be given time to begin working with MovieMaker. You will have time to access audio formats and image files to include in your presentation.
Step 4: In our next class, you will begin to present your projects. You should have your storyboards in front of you as you present to the class.
You must research this technology using the internet and books from the library. You are responsible for the following:
1. When was it invented?
2. Who invented it?
3. How has it changed since it was first produced?
4. Describe the technology as it exists today. How is it useful?
5. Predict what the technology will be like in the year 2050.
6. If your technology was never invented how would things be different today?
7. Complete a bibliography for your sources. You must have at least four sources, one of which must be an internet source. Only one source may be an encyclopedia.
8. Prepare a 4 to 6 minute presentation about your technology. These will be presented to the class. You will use MovieMaker for your presentation. Your presentation should include the past history and milestones, present state of the technology and your prediction for the future.
