Develop your own definition of man by delving into the life story of the scientist that helped to change the definition forever.

Teacher Introduction

Why do scientists commit so much of their lives to their work? What do they hope to accomplish when they start out? How do they begin their work? This WebQuest was developed to teach students today about the commitment of recent scientists, and how they began the process of learning about their field.  I began with Jane Goodall because I feel that I know of her life and work, having been involved in local research through a group called ChimpanZoo, but I hope to create other WebQuests regarding recent scientists that have made a difference in their field.  It would be easy to use this WebQuest to develop new quests just by changing the title and the websites.  Feel free to borrow from this as you need to.
